
The Behavioral Support Program offers services for children and youth, age six to eighteen, and for their families and/or caregivers, in Central and South Okanagan communities.
The difficult areas for children tend to be related to socialization and behavioural adjustment.
The Behavioral Support Program will reduce challenging behavior and develop pro-social alternatives in the home, school and/or community.
Services available include:
- Education.
- In-Home consultations.
- Behavior Assessment and Intervention.
Work with family to assess child and develop strategies and programs specific to family's needs.
- Social Skills Training. Use positive behavior intervention to enhance child's social skills.
- Personalized Parent Training. Service available to parents so they are able to better manage their child's behavior.
- Family Intervention. Work directly with each child and family to strengthen the family unit and ensure the use of the behavior support plan.
- Academic Skills Support.
The program, in general, operates during the day and evenings from Monday to Friday (weekend appointments may be facilitated if necessary).
There would generally be staff on-site during the following core hours daily:
