Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Family Treatment Program

Program Overview

The CYMH Family Treatment program provides intensive home and community-based counselling, psychoeducation and individualized support services for children and youth ages 6-18 and their families who are experiencing difficulties associated with their child or youth’s mental health. The program helps the child or youth and their family utilize their strengths to address challenges and needs, and increase their connections to natural and community supports, improve emotional stability, build parenting capacity, develop interpersonal and life skills, boost family connections and increase coping strategies. The program works in partnership with MCFD Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) and other support services as identified by the family.

Services in the North Okanagan are delivered in partnership with North Okanagan Youth and Family Services (NOYFSS).
